Fresh and waste tanks (fill, weight, empty)

Motorhome fresh and waste tanks affect payload and trip planning: how much you fill, what that water weighs, and where you empty. This is not a campsite finder.

What this is for

Matching your tank sizes to a trip — without a venue directory. Cassette empties are a separate job; see when and where to empty a cassette.

Fill and carry

Full tanks are heavy. Use the tank sizes from your handbook or stickers, and remember full fresh plus full waste is a payload hit — check MAM and payload if you are near the plated maximum.

We don’t invent litres. If a fitter added or resized a tank, their notes beat a brochure figure.

Empty etiquette

Empty waste only at proper points. Follow site or aire rules. We do not list venues here.

Gas bottles are another carry weight — see motorhome gas / LPG bottles and safety for the bottle map, not a burn-time guess.

Van handbook and tank labels. We don’t invent litres or a “typical family” daily use as fact.

Next step

Use the Water calculator (tanks) with handbook sizes. Don’t invent tank litres.
